Sunlight Exposure and Color Fade
Interior rooms are essentially free from sun exposure. However, when cork flooring is installed in rooms with direct sunlight, fade may occur over time. Although this can be minimized by treating windows with a UV protectant, there must be a better solution. Enter WE Cork’s Serenity Collection, a cork flooring engineered to reduce color fade.
Flooring Designed to Reduce Color Fade
Serenity is a fade resistant cork flooring, unique among the WE Cork portfolio. It’s created with a high definition digital print technology that reproduces the essence of wood, stone, or cork (coming October, 2023 – see below) on a cork substrate. It’s finished with our patented hot coating, giving it an oil-like, satin luster with the highest possible durability. In this way, Serenity combines classic beauty with the resiliency and comfort of cork, plus the added value of fade resistance for flooring colors!
Extended Wear Layer Warranty
Thanks to its extreme durability, the Serenity Collection’s Wear Layer Warranty extends even longer than it does for our other other collections. WE Cork guarantees that its surface wear layer will not wear through or separate from the wood for 25 full years for residential use in normal traffic conditions, or 10 years for commercial use!
Other Serenity Floor Features
Like all of our floating floor collections, Serenity planks and tiles feature the industry preferred Uniclic locking system. This allows them to be installed almost anywhere without the intensive labor required to install other types of flooring materials. Tough enough to stand up to even the heaviest of foot traffic, our floating floors require little maintenance and will last for years. And like all WE Cork flooring, the Serenity Collection also delivers all of the same benefits coming from cork’s unique physical properties.
Special Customization of Serenity
Another unique aspect of the Serenity Collection that’s worth mentioning is its ability to be completely customized. On orders of 3,000 sq.ft or more, any image can be printed on the flooring! With that same minimum order, all standard patterns are also available in glue down format if required.
